4th ANNUAL PIZZA EATING CONTEST

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2009    -    5:30PM

-NORTH STAGE-

 

RULES & APPLICATION:

Each contestant must sign a liability waiver before participating.

The Pizza Eating contest is a contest of Speed, not quantity.

Each contestant will be given a whole 12” cheese pizza to consume as fast as he/she can.

There will be a contest starter who will give the cue to start the race.

You may use any technique to consume the pizza as quickly as possible (fold it, double up, slice on top of slice, etc.).

Water will be provided as the only drink allowed during eating.

The winner will be the first to completely finish all of the Pizza (including the crust)

Upon finishing, the contestant will stand up and shout “AJ’s”, thus displaying an empty mouth to the Judge/Judges. You are done when the last bite goes down.

If it is too close to call, the Winner will be determined by the Judges.

Yupping (or otherwise losing the contents of your stomach) is not allowed.  Buckets will be provided, just in case, but a loss of anything other than composure will result in disqualification.

Entrance Fee is $5.00 (Payable to “Roann Covered Bridge Festival”)

Register at AJ’s Café & Pizzeria – 190 North Chippewa, Roann

Deadline Date: September 10, 2009 at 4:00pm

Two Age Categories: (17 & Under) & (18+)

Management at AJ’s Café & Pizzeria has the right to:

Limit the number of contestants at any time

Change the deadline for registration

*First Place of each category will receive One (1) 16” 1-Topping Pizza every month for One (1) year

Second Place of each category will receive One (1) 16” 1-Topping Pizza

All participants will receive a Pizza Discount Coupon

All entrance fees will be donated to The Roann Covered Bridge Festival

WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I hereby release AJ’s Café & Pizzeria, The Roann Covered Bridge Festival, their staffs and volunteers from any and all liability that may occur as a result of my participation in this event. I am a willing participant in this pizza-eating contest.

If under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign for my participation.
